Granite Mining Provides Long-term Sustainability for NAMI Corp.
Further enhancing NAMI Corp.’s (“the Group”) core business portfolio in the mining sector, the Group will venture into granite mining. NAMI Corp.’s core business provides a long-term sustainability for the Group and increases the interest of the Group’s stakeholders.
With the state of Perak as the largest reserve for granite mining and limestone-based products, NAMI Corp. intends to obtain a 30-year lease to embark on this venture, with initial focus on 6.07 hectares (15 acres) granite reserve located in Forest Reserve in Mukim Kampar, Kinta District.
Commercially, granite is used for construction purposes such as tiles, stones and slabs. It is also used for building sculptures and road constructions.
